cozy fun read. at one point the character said “holy frick” which cemented my earlier imagining of them as blonde vampire slaying karens

this book is incredible! i love how the ghosts were written in this, everything about the ghost month in asian culture that was featured in the story and whenever i read scenes about ghosts eating food i imagined them all to be eating like how no face from spirited away would consume food.

i love how funny misery is, but all in all i struggled to finish this book! needed some more world-building for me.

italian gothic horror about a haunted house and a family on vacation— claustrophobic and spooky! i love how the ghostly scenes are written in this one 👻

i went in blind for this— i was drawn in by the cover. for fans of lovecraftian horror, and for people who have always been naturally suspicious about cul— um i mean farmsteads and communes.

this is A TRIP. i found myself feeling a mix of emotions throughout the entire book— highly recommend 👹

reminded me of plato’s cave theory, forbidden planet, and even ursula le guin’s tale of the omelas. my favorite character happens to share the same name as me (anthea) :8)

super fun cozy read that i picked up for fun and now am team wolf daddy forever

i loved the way this book was written, like a fevered dream, and didn’t care for the protagonist’s husband.

excellent world-building, bonus points for chronic pain/invisible illness heroine, double bonus points for turning your lover into a horse. 10/10!
