Wonderful deconstruction of LitRPGs

Prose is really good, with a rich but still direct way of writing. The worldbuilding and characters pull you in from the beginning, and with a good structure and pacing you won't get out until you're finished! This book sets up the world and characters of Earb, with the next couple books showing how much there is to explore.

Review of 'Artifact Space' on 'Goodreads'

Our protagonist is a Mary Sue. It's not interesting. There is an incredible amount of telling over showing. Like really, I can't believe I had to read that with my own eyes, from an author who supposedly has had a lot of practice in writing. The science fiction settings seems to be used just for flavour and no ideas or worldbuilding is explored in any way. It did read pretty easily tho.
