SO much to unpack here. This book is raw and gritty. In a small town full of secrets and broken people, Heather is a young girl straddling that space between childhood and adulthood. Her innocence is slowly being shattered as she becomes aware of what is going on in the world around her. The things she learns are tragic, numbing, terrifying. It's the story of being a woman.

Extremely well written, with well-developed characters, and done in such a way that you know exactly what is happening without reading the gory details.

This book was gifted to me by someone who couldn't sing Gina DeVee's praises high enough. While the overall idea of the book (realizing your highest purpose, identifying your desires, manifesting it all) spoke to me, I found the execution to be severely lacking. It's a book without a soul. It's a book written by someone who has paid to attend an abundance of self help workshops, read every book on the topic, and threw their own book together because they believe that having a book offers some sort of credibility.

I have no doubt that Gina is an inspiring speaker who motivates many to achieve their dreams, but for someone in her field, image is everything. As such, Gina needs to protect her image, her brand. This book should have been read by small groups for honest feedback before ever being published. (Ironically, she mentions hiring a marketing firm …
