I gotta sit with the ending metaphor of this one — that self-serving colonizing extractive invading plants often claim a newly-opened space in the forest, and only gradually are those replaced by “mature” reciprocal plants and trees. She’s calling for a form of dual power, I think, without using that phrase— and for “creative disruption.” I guess this is resonating with the 2nd (noncooperation) and 3rd (creating alternative institutions) elements of Gene Sharp’s model?
