Not a perfect parable, but a pretty convincing story about love, parentship, relationships with close people, and hardships that could arise at any moment even in a very ordinary life. Oh, and about anger and anxiety, and all sorts of mental conditions that make people want to distantiate from one suffering, only increasing the suffer.

Has a bit of a Neverending Story vibe, but that may be only because I have recently read that book.

Still it feels like an original and very inspiring story to read, maybe life's not as simple as it felt by the time I was reading final words, but the author has a solid point on how not to make life worse.

But I must admit that it is not very subtle and gets didactic at times.
