I think this is going to be a hard read for me as it seems pretty different than my general economic and cultural ideas ( at least based on the first ~ 30 pages ). The first set of sections focused on the emptiness of the self and how 'it' relates to the world around it; suggesting that there is no seperation of the self and the other ( or the other objects ) -- I enjoyed this section and found it compelling but it felt a bit long and the point was driven a bit to far. The second section now begins to talk about the 'emptiness' of the self in reguard to time and time in reguard to the self. This section is similar on a base level but different enough that my interest, enjoyment have spiked up a bit more.
Enjoying this book. It is slow going so far, the first real chapter covers only the first three sentances of the Genjokoan -- which is kind of amazing; however, I suspect this will take me a while to get through.
