This book is short. I think that is a good thing. What the book has to is interesting and valuable to think about but it says one thing well and even though the book was short it started to feel long. I was very happy that I finished the book and didn't set it down. I think this would be a good book club book ( with the right people ) or just a book to talk about -- the discussion of the book was better than the book , to me.

I struggled with this book. I am still not sure what happened. When I first finished it , I didn't think I liked it; however, I find myself continuing to think about the book. I started reading some lit analysis of the book and that has made it more and more interesting and added some shape to what I read. I would recommend reading this book but also finding some discussions about what the book is about and giving those a read to get a full experience.
This was a very interesting read for me -- It was epic / strategic fantasy with a heavy dose of the erotic. I enjoyed it , though it took me a long time to get through it as some parts were a bit slow. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but for sure liked almost 80% of it. I am not sure if I will read the rest of them.
Grabbed an ebook copy of this. Just getting started. Enjoying the distance and discourse on gender / gender identity that scifi can provide. Looking forward to getting further along -- feels likely that I will read the entire series.
This book is powerful. Not a lot happens but I couldn't set it down.I don't understand the man's intentions on the surface. But, on some level I want to understand their actions. I was drawn to the characters and their relationship to each other. The love the man has is healthy in a dying world. The two face the world in stoic resistance. I will need to unpack this book over the next few days. This is a love story on a human level. I recommend reading it.

I am excited about this book. I am always on the look out of a contemplation of nature and it has been a while since I've read one. This books comes highly recommended so fingers crossed that it is great. Going to drink tea and look out the window while I read this one.
