This is a superb conclusion to the Interdependency trilogy. I will happily admit that I stayed up till 2 am finishing it the day after I got it. Scalzi is amazing at making his characters come alive.

I certainly hope this isn't the last time we see this particular universe and these characters.

Andrew Henderson: Nomad Capitalist (Paperback, 2018, Independently published)

Review of 'Nomad Capitalist' on 'Goodreads'

Full of advice. Bit of a sales pitch

Nomad Capitalist is a decent read, and has it fair share of advice. There a couple of things that prevent me from giving it 5 stars.

There is a dating section and references through the early part of the book that are just cringe worthy.

There is definitely a “use our service” vibe in the very last chapter of the book.

The book is also fairly light on numbers. Talking about properties he’s bought, but not how much rental yield has been made from them.

All up, it’s got enough substance to justify the cost, but it’s a good book that could be a great book.

Pitchaya Sudbanthad: Bangkok Wakes to Rain (Hardcover, 2019, Riverhead Books)

Review of 'Bangkok Wakes to Rain' on 'Goodreads'

Bangkok Wakes To Rain is an interesting read. Filled with a sense of the city. I found it hard to keep track of all the different people because it jumps around and follows so many different stories.

All up I very much enjoyed those stories and the connections between them. Experiencing Bangkok through the different historical (and future) periods.

This book is gut-wrenching. It's a constant barrage of just how much we've fucked up the planet and continue to ignore the problem. All of the information for this book is already out there, but it still disturbing to have it compiled in this way.

Highly recommended reading.

Alastair Reynolds: Revelation Space (Paperback, 2002, Orion Publishing Group)

Nine hundred thousand years ago, something wiped out the Amarantin.

For the humans now settling …

It took me ages to get into this book. At the start it moves very slowly. It's chock full of ideas by the end of the book though which is something I look for in a sci-fi novel. Will definitely read this again in a few years.
