What an incredible read! Written from the perspective of a child experiencing a haunting this books unique voice grabs hold and never lets go…kind of like the evil haunting this family. It moves at such a pace you don’t want to put it down, even though you’re flooded with dread and anxiety. The best supernatural book I’ve ever read.
After 9 books, Jussi still knows how to tell a compelling story. Not as gritty as some of the others in the series, this definitely has its twists and ends with the ultimate cliffhanger. Can’t wait to read number 10 and see how the series comes to an end!

The world has ended, some have survived, and an unlucky few have been taken into an extreme religious cult. As the “holy” will do, they subjugated, mutilated, and beat women into submitting to their righteous views. Written as a diary, the story is compelling, and heart wrenching at times. Wonderfully written it drips with the pain and emotion of the main character. Her story, and thoughts evolve leading to her destined end. Really enjoyed

This could have been half as long and probably just as bad if not slightly better. The author telegraphs everything so there’s no real mystery to how things are going to progress or end. Terrible flowery language that just gets repeated chapter after chapter. Save your time and skip it

Written as an academic study with graphs to prove its thesis and individual governing laws, this book is a quick and highly entertaining read! So easy to remember I’m sure I’ll be pulling this out in conversation for a long time
