Huh. Almost entirely sex based, but human and sane(ish) about it, inasmuch as possible within the context of the world build. I'm honestly impressed. Ethics of poly, emotion address and management, and communication between characters in and around relationships. For plot I far prefer the police procedural components of the other novels, but hell if this wasn't a fascinating and enjoyable read.
