Logan Gyre is king of Cenaria, a country under siege, with a threadbare army and little hope. He has one chance -- a desperate gamble, but one that could destroy his kingdom.

In the north, the new Godking has a plan. If it comes to fruition, no one will have the power to stop him.

Kylar Stern has no choice. To save his friends -- and perhaps his enemies -- he must accomplish the impossible: assassinate a goddess.

Devour this blockbuster tale of assassination and magic by Brent Weeks which has delighted readers all over the world -- with over one million copies in print.

Just finished the omnibus--overall this was an enjoyable read. After reading Weeks backwards in releases I can see the growth he has had. I mainly enjoyed the pacing of the series but thought it took a bit too many detours in development here and there, adult themes were good but the bespoke on sexuality was a bit--off and the few spiritual components were overmined. Otherwise the landscape, characters, systems, all made for a fun read. When I catch myself laughing, 'OH NO'-ing, and smirking at a moment I know it was a good row.

I'd enjoy Weeks coming back to this property one day as it still feels like a series (or world) to be continued. With his matured mindset and style it would be banner.

We all knew that Kylar was the main character, and the series hero, but I didn't like how his development as a character was halted in the third book. Azoth was this weak, but smart and determined boy, who through sacrifice and hard …
