Du verden hvordan en enkel liten historie kan være så sammensatt og fint skrevet. Forstår all den skryten boken får om en oversetter i domstolen i Haag og om tilhørighet og rotløshet. Anbefales sterkt for den som liker sånt.

Jeg leste The Last Colony tidligere i år. Intimacy ble enda mer spennende etter å ha lest den, og The Last Colony fikk enda en dimensjon etter Intimacy, bare så det er sagt.

Having a hard time rating this one, but I'm rounding up - I guess because it so well captures the cavernous gaps between even the closest humans and the disturbing absurdity of emotional control and impartiality.

I picked this up due to its place on the National Book Award long list, and while the prose and voice of the main character were interesting for their cool, minimal style, the plot seemed pointless, and not a single storyline was ever resolved. At least it was short.
