Oh, I got very, very little out of this book except the knowledge that Adorno writes in a way (or at least wrote this in such a way) that is not useful for me. Huge, unsupported, jargon-filled generalizations throughout, there was rarely a sentence, or even a phrase, that sounded like anything but pedantic ranting.
Best quote: "[Slippers] are a monument to our hatred of bending over."
