A magnificent biography for both fans of Feynman and for those who have never heard of him. Definitely recommend.

An engaging and affecting biography of Nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman, which even includes Feynman presenting QED to a non-professional audience. If (like me) you're a fan of Feynman, you'll recognise several of the stories and anecdotes (some of them only referred to obliquely) but you'll find plenty of new material too. The bibliography is a treat and contains some surprises; the authors consider James Gleick's bio of Feynman [b:Genius: The Life and Science of Richard Feynman|98685|Genius The Life and Science of Richard Feynman|James Gleick|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320409497s/98685.jpg|191828] to be only their third-favourite bio.
A cartoon biography of Feynman. A very easy to read book that gives a succinct explanation of the QED theory towards to the end of the book. Quite frankly I didn't follow most of it, but it has inspired me to read Feynman's books on the topic.
You should still read Surely You're Joking. This book does not replace it. In fact, it is based mostly on the same material, so if you've already read other Feynman books, you won't learn a lot of new things. But the art is good, and reading about Feynman this way is a fun way to spend the Sunday. This book makes a great gift for the nerd in your life who enjoys both science and graphic novels.
