Review of 'The white mountains' on 'Goodreads'

Remembered this from 6th grade assigned reading and decided to revisit. It's sexist, of course, and facile, but I can see how it served as a bridge to other sci-fi reading. I wish we'd been assigned Ursula LeGuin instead!

Review of 'The white mountains' on 'Goodreads'

A well done YA post-apocalyptic adventure, mixing the rural past with more modern urban elements. The three main characters are quite likeable, on the run from creepy alien overlords. The main problem I had though is that the book just abruptly ends as they are approaching the end of their quest. You sort of get told about what happens but never really see it. (Not giving away too much of the upcoming sequel?)
