I did enjoy this book, I wasn't really have high expectations, but it did actually do what it said on the tin, it's not intelligent sprawling and mind bending, but it's a fun little action sci-fi story with some decent characters, I think I will continue on in the series :)
I bought it for a dollar and I'm a fan of alien invasion/apocalyptic fiction. This book started pleasantly enough. Some of the plot twists could be seen from a mile away, but I don't mind that too much. Finally, the plot was a bit too simplistic, but it was okay read. It is apparently, part of a 17 book series. We will see how long I last, but I did buy the second book for what it's worth.
This is a lightweight fun read if you are willing to suspend your belief in reality. It wasn't good enough to want to continue the series.
3 stars for the first half and 2 stars for the last half. Rounding down for a general feeling of meh.
