I Sing the Body Elecric

Old but good collection...some beautiful stories at the beginning, some truly great ones at the end (I'm looking at you, "Heavy Set" and "Lost City of Mars")...and some absolutely terrible stuff in the middle. Clockwork grandma's and some of the adjoining stories have some staggeringly bad dialogue and just plod. If you find yourself getting bogged down, just skip to the next one.

I fell in love with Ray Bradbury's writing in Fahrenheit 451, when he captivated me with his keen insight into human nature and his brilliant use of language.

In I Sing the Body Electric!, Bradbury continued to delight me with his expression of real human emotion and behavior, even when the settings for the stories were often strange and fantastical. I was unsure about how much I liked the book and the stories as I was reading, but by the time I finished I knew that I definitely liked it and am still a big fan of Ray Bradbury's writing. His expression of human nature is so true to life and inspiring to me as a watcher of people to really absorb and understand the desires and psychology that drives us.

I know at home I have a much larger collection of Bradbury short stories, which I look forward to reading.
