3.5-3.75.... I fought this book a little. It may have been my state of mind. It may have just been hard to start. It's grim dark, lots of sex, a bit more of it and vulgarity than I thought--even if I didn't know what to think. Once the engine got warm though I really enjoyed it.

If you like a strong well played out fight sequences there are several and well worth it.

Neat world building. So many things I want to understand.

There was a familiarity in the chaos of it all then I read in the acknowledgements: "To Michael Moorcock for Hawkmoon, Elric, and Corum" and it clicks into place.

I'm really looking forward to the next volume to see where this goes. We know the world, the stage, evolving characters...now let's have some more fun.
