Black Hammer

I stopped reading Black Hammer a few years back so I know a little what happens in the future, but it's fascinating to re-read this now.

I forgot how good this is. It's re-using hero templates from Marvel/DC but it feels so fresh. This first volume is an intro to the characters, who they were before and where they are now.

Jeff Lemire was known at this point for his small town stories, and we can see him flexing that muscle real hard here. Knowing the future, Lemire is great at many types of stories, so it's awesome getting some of those glimpses here.

The art fits the story amazingly. I'm so excited to get caught up.
