What ever was I expecting? I used the word "original" in the last review I'd written and maybe that's why this book came up and beckoned to me. Or maybe it was just that the publisher paid for advertising. Anyway, It became clear early on that "original" didn't apply to the writing which didn't even use the newer cliches because the older ones would do.
Who doesn't want to hear that their unique specialness is uniquely special and would prevail? That if you could be original just like others who succeeded before you, you would turn out just like them? It's that one weird original trick THEY didn't want you to know.
The usual suspects were all there in the examples: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln, Google, F**k. And we all think we're original and unique and share the goal of becoming rich and successful while making …

Well, I can't ask that anymore thanks to the current administration which appears to have that as its goal.
