Review of 'Saga of the Swamp Thing' on 'Goodreads'

An apocalyptic volume which builds on the themes introduced in previous volumes to provide a climax worthy of the grand realignment that was happening in DC comics at the time. It's telling that instead of hewing to the strict morality of traditional comics, the swamp thing offers us something far more nuanced that it isn't even sure of itself.

The art is unreliable, some of it painful, but then there are panels like the close up of the thing imbued with South American flora that stand with the best of the series so far.
