closer to a 3.5 for me. I didn't think this was terrible but i didn't think it was great either. It's probably a C+ read - nothing that really takes away from it, but it also doesn't really have that je ne sais quoi either. It lacked sparkle for me and I can't really put my finger on why. I did like Jasmine and her cousins, and I liked Ashton's family, but I think I'm not really convinced Ashton really opened up to Jasmine. Or maybe I feel like there was a lot left unexplored/discussed. Like how Ashton felt when he became a single father. After their first encounter, I, as Jasmine, would have had some questions about Ashton's decisions, but it never came up.
