Review of Alien: Out of the Shadows

The book is in between Alien & Aliens and the way it's set up, requires quite a bit of suspension of belief.

An enjoyable read, but suffers the same thing every prequel does. Lack of stakes. The story wasn't aided by Ripley, I would have preferred leaving her out so that I didn't know how it ended.
Story wise, great. kept me interested the entire time.
I got this as a freebie from Audible in Jan 2017. This book bridges the gap between the first two Alien movies: #Alien and Aliens.
With a full cast production, I liked the additional special effects which greatly enhanced my enjoyment of this #audiobook during my daily commute. #100booksin2017
