This volume packs in loads of action and loads of heart. The artist made colour choices that make the pages a real pleasure to look at, and the story moves at a perfect pace.

I was super excited to see how they adapted this arc because Crystal Kingdom is where the plot starts to pop off. I was pretty impressed with how things were condensed - it's much tighter than the listening experience but still hits all the right goofs and the right feels. I even teared up at one point! Another fantastic installment from the Good Good Bois and Carey!
I love these books, but this sub-adventure was so packed I wondered how they would pack it all into one volume. I think they did a pretty good job, but I feel they could have pared it down even further. Yes that would have meant completely losing some fan favorites, but it would have allowed the rest to shine a little brighter.
Or maybe I'm dead wrong! What do you think?
