Gave this a punt given the rave reviews but I'm not sure it's for me. Seems to be going down more of a Gothic horror path in the vein of Jekyll & Hyde with a bit of lynchian mysticism, which on paper I should like but I found it all a bit maudlin and melodramatic. The shadow of Swamp Thing looms in the background but so far this doesn't quite live up to the hype. But I'm giving it another volume to convince me as the potential is there.
