I have previously read Bloodsucking Fiends by Moore, so am interested in reading other novels by him. Practical Demonkeeping is a fun novel. I'm glad I got the chance to read it. His stories are full of such characters, and, as with BF, I was a little surprised at how things turned out for some of them. This was a fast read. I recommend Moore to those who want something they can laugh at, but with a quirky plot.

This is my favorite Chris Moore novel to date. It never had the mid-late-story drag that some of his other works have had for me. The pacing was perfect for a summer read.

Ah, there is hope yet that the NaNoWriMo script you so carelessly tossed in the corner can be published.

Practical Demonkeeping is a great title for a book, but the story wasn't quite as good as I was hoping. It's a quick and dirty read. In the end, I just wish the demon had eaten everyone in the beginning. It would have saved me so much time.
