The problem is that humanity isn't the only entity with designs on the Red Planet. Out in the airless desert there is another presence. A novel intelligence, elusive, unknowable and potentially lethal.

And Honey is here to make contact with it, whether Jimmy likes it or not.

Finally, fascism in space!

For the first two thirds of the book I thought it was going to be a run of the mill techno thriller but then it really took off.

Sci fi often uses technology as a great equalizer and ignores that fascists would use tech just as much as leftists.

Bear Head dives right into this and the horrors it would unleash. If you like Tchaikovsky's other work or like Blake Crouch you should really check this out.
