I did read this once upon a time when it came out, but now I reread it via audiobook. Once again, I really shouldn't, because when your job is looking through a microscope for most of the day, tearing up while listening because of the happy endings isn't just a good thing. Well, it is, for the story anyway, but not to look through microscopes. ;) Anyhoo, I just really like how she writes families and groups of friends, and we have both here - brothers with their mother (and they are rebuilding the inn that is a main focus of the series - based on the real thing), and the group of women friends, and then of course the path of being in love with the main couple. My only thing with this series is purely personal one - I'm not really big with paranormals or ghost stories, and this has an old ghost in the inn. Even I can read along and see how it is a great addition to the story as part of the story, well written and the like, but it's just a personal thing that I like as realistic as possible. Like I said though, even I can see how well written in the ghost is, and how the brothers talk to her, and that her name is Lizzie (as in Lizzie Bennet from Pride and Prejudice). Two thumbs up! :)
