Jason Molenda reviewed Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid

I liked the super-smart heroine in this book, and her relationship with her best friend Elizabeth. The hero seemed the typical alphahole type -- rich, incommunicative, mysterious, hella-cut -- and the company was full of mysteries. The heroine is reluctant to enter a relationship because of their professional relationship and power imbalance and the hero seems completely lack in the empathy to understand her concerns, assuring her it will all be fine. I'm sure it will be all fine for him, but I'm rooting for the heroine here in that this could go very badly for her. Many of the mysteries went unexplained with no impact on the story or payoff of any kind. Will these be relevant in a future book in the series? Not sure. The writing was fun and I enjoyed reading this book, but I'll def continue in the series to see where the author takes …

I've also heard so many good things about the beards series that I'll definitely be checking those out too.
