The planet of Caliban exists much as it has for thousands of years – the knightly orders protect the common people, fighting back the beasts that lurk in the depths of the seemingly endless forests. Very different from any of the others in the series that I've read and very engrossing for the new areas that it explores. I can't say much more wothout spoilers, so let me just say that Scanlon foeges a new way forward with this chapeter, even as it contributes to the overall narrative. Very much recommended.
