A lot of world building, but not as bad as some reviews make it sound. It is still interesting to read about the different things that are going on in the long Earth although they sometimes seem very comical and contrived.
I wasn't sure if I would want to read the next book in the series. But after the cliffhanger in the last two chapters I kind of have to.
