Eli reviewed Period Power by Maisie Hill

I'm not so keen on being called a menstruator, instead of just woman, but beyond that fact, I thought this book was really insightful. The key message seemed to be, monitor yourself and get to know what is your normal, so you can tell when things go differently.
I wasn't aware of the benefits of having regular period per se, with the appropriate fluctuation of the hormones, and how contraception can interfere with that, to not having a period at all (hormonal ones) and only leading to withdrawal bleeds. This felt more informative and detailed that Dr Hazel Wallace's book, so I'm glad I happened upon it.
