I was cleaning out some closets and old furniture the week I read this. As a result, I felt REALLY BAD about the giant pile of crap I left out on the curb that Tuesday. Great art and great characters allow Backderf to lay out an awful lot of knowledge in an engaging way. Learn the history and politics of trash collection, through a framing story of small-p politics between workers and management at a small town sanitation department. Never boring.
