I just made a plugin for Gancio that posts every new event into a Bluesky account, with title, date, place, event url and image.

It's based on the equivalent plugin for Telegram, and I can say that it works (I tried it on my own server: https://bsky.app/profile/pontevedra.social).

@luka looks like the federations started to work 🥳 I'm not sure what happened and why it started to work. I remembered I met #gancio developer at #offdem and wanted to write to him about the issue, but when I checked again I saw one event from gancio on our #pixelfed instance. 🍵

I need a better understanding of ActivityPub protocol. As a developer and as a community organizer. Currently we are running 4 federated services at our selfhosting collective #Kompot: #mobilizon, #gancio, #peertube and #pixelfed.glitch, and improvements on #Drupal ActivityPub are on the horizon as well.

@luka After further investigation I've found out, that #gancio 📆 events were only federating with #pixelfed 🖼️ in late 2024 (when we set up the gancio instance) and they don't federate anymore with any of the pixelfed instances I have. I'll try to find a root of the issue (but I'd also be grateful for advice on how to investigate this federation issue) and open bug reports if necessary.

I wonder why federation from our #gancio to our #pixelfed is not working. I'm able to follow @relay from another pixelfed instance I'm using (@No) but not from our freshly set up. I'm able to follow our #mobilizon at @kompot@dogodki.kompot.si . 🤪 Any ideas why woul d that be? #askFedi
