Mary L. Trump: Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man 4 stars

Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man is …

I'll have to read it again; below is my initial review in 2020:

4 stars

Wow--kinda startling how much one megalomaniac can damage a family without striking a physical blow, and how, when childhood resembles an emotional battle royale, that might make some people just cold, unfeeling, unconscionable, ruthless people.

I found it very startling to read, and sadly, not as surprising as I thought it would be, considering. Granted, folks have been talking about this book for some time, but it does say something about "powerful" families and some of the dirty crap some get through to keep that power, perceived or otherwise. And sadly, how those effects will reverberate through the family's generations if they're unaware.
