This is a fantastic history of the development of chemistry, and chemical science, more generally from ancient times up to 2021. It's bang up to date. It's not a book to teach you chemistry, but rather a history book. Highly recommended. All the books in this series from DK that I've read have been superb.

I love this book. It's a great history of the development of chemistry from ancient times to 2021. Including the RNA vaccines that helped combat COVID. I've read several of the DK books in the series. All have been excellent.
