Oof. What a genre-addled, cliched disaster. I almost DNF'd this one 40% of the way through but decided to give it a chance because it seemed like it had some interesting things to say about mental illness and suicide. By the time I finally got the eye-rolling "twists," I regretted it. And even then, it still refused to end for another half dozen chapters. Messy, maudlin, and boring.
