The second book in The Magicians trilogy was a fun and exploratory look into Quentin's and Julia's magical lives. Though I would have preferred more pertaining to the old gods, the novel was gripping and moving. It's nice to see that insufferable Quentin Coldwater finally found his place in the world, even if everything was stripped from him in the end.
