When I read "gothic sapphic romance" I immediately knew I was going to love this.
I don't know where to start because I enjoyed every single part of it.
A magic medieval castle filled with moss and nature narrated so beautifully I could feel like I was there. A curse that caught me in the first pages of knowing about it I simply couldn't stop reading. A love story full of desperation and drama, it was so heartrending... It got me kicking my feet.
I don't have enough words to describe this book. It talks about lonliness, to feel unwanted, to feel like you don't fit in, and the way it's written makes you empathize with the characters, you just want them to have a happy life full of the love they both deserve.
I loved how complex and mysterious the Witch was, I wanted to know every secret she …

I think it was all my fault because I was expecting it to be a lot different since I read a lot of reviews. It's such a pity because I wanted to love this book so much. It got really slow at the third part (for me), maybe because of those expectations.
The plot twist was really good tho and I didn't see it coming, to be honest.
One problem that I can think of is maybe the way the descriptions of the scenes are made. I didn't understand a lot of things, half of the time I was really confused (and maybe that was the point).
I don't know how to explain it, it was just fine for me. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it neither.

I'm not giving it 2 stars (and I'm being generous) because I enjoyed it but because even if I was having a terrible moment I simply couldn't stop reading it. I'm happy I read it so fast so I could forget about it faster.
I don't know if it's the writing style or if it's just that I didn't really like the plot since the beginning but yeah, that's it.

I have never in my life cringed that much, I get why people like it but this book just isn't for me. I hate the miscommunication trope with all of my heart. I can't stand the characters, why don't they sit with each other and express their feelings from the beginning?
The +18 scenes were written in a really vulgar way or was it just me?? Like you can write a sex scene with a lot less descriptions (and obscene …

As an AroAce myself I think I may be a little biased but I truly loved this story.

Georgia was really relatable, even if we don't experience our sexuality the same since AroAces are very different to one another. I felt the same when I started to realize what I was.
Friendship and the importance of it is also amazingly written (I cried a lot while reading some scenes).
And, overall, it's a 5 stars for me. ♡

Ps: this is my first review EVER, I just felt like I needed to talk about this book
