In April 2007, I listened to an audio version of this book. It was the unabridged audio. I have a long commute, and since I was not a huge fan of Eragon, felt time was better spent listening to the book and reading other books I would like better.
Eldest was an improvement over Eragon, although, again, Paolini's plot and twists are transparent.
