Very entertaining history of the Indus valley winding back from the present to the Stone Age. The author makes the troubled and interesting history of the region come alive with a personal account of her travels from the Indus delta in Pakistan to its source in Tibet weaving in the story of the Indus and the people who lived in its valleys.
