I really enjoyed this book, lots of prototypical language that clearly laid foundations for "The Matrix" but also Cyberpunk (the tabletop system and subsequently the video game). also retrospectively recognised some nods to this book from The Expanse series. Some weirdly trippy stuff in there too.

Really enjoyed this book. It was pretty deeply insightful about modern life and all the ways that our lifestyle can detail our attention. It inspired a short term reduction in my device usage but I think realistically it probably needs to inspire large scale top down change to help us fix our distracted society.
