@mouse hmmm, that’s an interesting take. I enjoyed the one Chandler book I read before, but definitely thought it went on a bit too long, which put me off reading more.
@bibliotechy imo with a full novel length the plot has too convoluted to fill the space. I like this volume a lot, with all the necessary caveats about how incredibly weird and bad Chandler is about race and sex
