I read a critic quote “the perfect novella,” and I think they said it best. I loved this book and will return to it again soon.

Review of 'The Country Will Bring Us No Peace' on 'Goodreads'

This book was marketed as spooky, unsettling horror and mystery, but all I got was something incredibly depressing and banal (not in a profound way). It was written well and was very atmospheric, but I cannot help feel deceived having read the book under false pretenses. I do not like the genre of literature it ended up being, and would not have read it had it been described accurately.
Please be honest with your readers, it’s insulting when authors believe they must falsely inflate their work to attract readers. I wish I could get my time back.
