A Man Called Ove

Wow. This book was filled with feels; from anger and frustration at the world to hope and love at humanity. Ove is such a wonderfully complicated character that seems pretty simple at face value. The entire cast of characters is great and the world that Backman builds is wonderful.
Lost Art of Productivity (to creatives)
3 stars
Some good advice and a lot of good ideas to think about. Most of the examples and stories are all from creative individuals (authors, painters, etc.) and difficult to relate when I work in an office. Still some great concepts though and I love Newport's books.

Not for me
2 stars
I couldn’t finish this. I made it about 1/4 through and still felt nothing for the characters and didn’t care what was going to happen next. Kudos to the author for not only writing a book, but a series! Amazing accomplishment but this wasn’t for me.
Teejay reviewed Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros (The Empyrean, #2)
Teejay finished reading Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros (The Empyrean, #2)
I very much enjoyed this book. But despite more action, more sex, and more plot twists in the second of the series, I enjoyed the first one just a little bit more. But obviously, if you read the first one you HAVE to read this one. And then unfortunately you'll wait with me until the third is released in 2025.
