Riyria Revelations is the best epic fantasy saga I've read in years.

It is epic without being a fairy tale.
It is funny without being a comedy.
It is emotional without being a romance.
It is harsh without being dark.
It is Fantasy without Pathos.

I'm thinking of calling it "Realfantastik".

It has its shortcomings, especially when it comes to the villain characters, but I still think it deserves 5 stars.
