Finished this during tonight's storytime. Although I found it difficult to read aloud bc of the many repetitive and unlabeled lines of dialogue (if they are labeled, the speaker is often revealed after the line finishes so I had to scan ahead while reading in order to use the right voice), and the many long songs (between this and the Hobbit I'm definitely learning how to improv a melody), and the annoying printing of my copy, which decided to use exclusively peach colored ink, my son enjoyed it.
I found the writing a bit uneven but when scenes of action occurred the narrative really came alive in wonderfully creative ways. My son's favorite parts were the entire sequence involving seagulls being attached to the peach stem and the Cloud-men.
