Very loveable story! (29/50 in 2023)
Really enjoyed this series. I picked these up at my local independent used bookshop after having seen and loving the Netflix series!

I read this a few months ago, and a few months after seeing the Netflix show. It gave me the same feeling of comfort, and once I was in the story I got to the end in no time, without getting interrupted by... all the stuff that usually interrupt me. Would read again, or rather would read the other ones!
If I could give this book 7 seven stars, I would, this is easily one of the best, most heartwarming pieces of media I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. It sucked me in like nothing has before, I read the entire thing in basically one sitting.
Heartstopper is a wonderful graphic novel series with amazing LGBTQ representation. It has beautifully illustrated pages and the story is heartwarming. You should definitely check out this book, especially if you want to read a wholesome MLM queer romance.
It's so??? Cute??? I can't??? Handle it???
I am a gay man in my 40s who grew up as a child and teenager in a small Conservative town. Growing up in that toxic environment as a gay boy was very difficult. You couldn't come out for the risk of rejection and violence from multiple sources.
Although I kind of knew I was gay at a very young age, it was made absolutely clear when I developed a mad crush on a boy in High School. That didn't develop into anything. He was straight, of course.
I wanted to watch the Netflix series, but not before I read the original source material. I love these feel-good coming of age (and coming out) LGBTQ love stories because I think back to that crush and wish I was able to experience that when I was a boy. To just... be. I lost so much of my life because I couldn't …

It is nice to see that the current young generations are in a much more accepting society of fluid sexualities and genders. That's not to say that it's not bad in a lot of areas, but it is drastically better than when I was a boy.
This graphic novel perfectly captures that young love.
I may or may not have read the entire webcomic (all 180 updates) in one sitting
This is such a cute story. Even though so many negative things happen as well, it is really wholesome. Initially followed the web comic but had to re-read the proper graphic novel.
and so the reread begins after binging the show twice in the past 24 hours
Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. An LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between – for fans of The Art of Being Normal, Holly Bourne and Love, Simon.

Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie’s lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.

This is the first volume of Heartstopper, with more to come.
This is just so adorable.
