Using the dot-com crash as an object lesson in how not to manage your portfolio, this is an informative guide to navigating the turbulence of the market and managing investments with confidence. With its life-cycle guide to investing, this book matches the needs of investors at any age bracket.

Review of 'A Random Walk Down Wall Street' on 'Goodreads'

Witty, practical intro to investing. Author is pro-indexing, but allowing that you may have a primal need to pick stocks, Malkiel gives guidelines there as well. Supplemental section on options is excellent. I learned about two brothers who used futures to corner the worldwide silver market in the 1970s.
