Review of 'Oryx y Crake' on 'Goodreads'

Can't bring myself to put this into the "I liked it" category. There were interesting ideas. It was plausible. It just never rose to the level of enjoyment.

Another thing that gets me is the old maxim that a story should be about the most interesting person in the story. That's not the case here. It's like if Breaking Bad was told from the viewpoint of Walter White's son.

Review of 'Oryx y Crake' on 'Goodreads'

This is the picture of a world gone crazy with genetics, at times bleak and at times funny. Humanity has devised its own demise and there's a whole new species created to replace us. It is a very well told story, that builds up on the questions of how far can we go with science. It is, deep inside also a tale of friendship and a heartbreaking love story.

Review of 'Oryx y Crake' on 'Goodreads'

I LOVED Oryx & Crake! The way it was set up had me longing to get to the next page/next chapter/the end. It was gripping, thrilling, taught, and very sarcastic about the world we live in. It also really makes you think. Overall, I think a book that EVERYONE should read, no matter where your tastes lie.
